Christmas

We put up the Christmas tree. We went and got a fake one that was pre-lit. It would have been neat to have a real one, but were afraid getting it this early that it would dry out before Christmas and start a fire. That would just be our luck. So we dug out the few ornaments we had left from last years tree(son broke quite a few) and put them high up on the tree so little one couldn't get them. Then we put some fake snow on the tree skirt and hung up lights on the wall and the stockings like they are stairs going downward. It's really cool looking.

Shrek

Shrek's Christmas Special is on tonight. It's only half an hour long so I think we may watch it. Then after that How The Grinch Stole Christmas is on. YAY! The animated chuck jones version. I LOVE that version. The big movie version was ok, but nothing beats an old Chuck Jones classic my dears.

Why is it that my darn points calculator hasn't come in the mail yet? I ordered it from ebay two and a half weeks ago. Let me tell you that it is very hard to calculate points without one. I do my best and I just am pretty much guessing from general knowledge of the program right now, but it would be better on my waist line to know for positive that something was really three or four points and not seven points. Sometimes something you think is low in points ends up being like 15 points so you just never know.

Done Well

I am really excited. I have done really, really well this week with staying on plan. I used my flex points but stayed within daily points otherwise and worked out almost everyday and drank tons and tons of water. I lost six pounds. Whoot! Six pounds dude. I am psyched. I plan on keeping up the good work. In a year and a half I could be at goal weight and be a skinny minnie. I can't wait! Gonna keep it, gonna keep it up this time.

Big Tvs!

You know, I know alot of people that are going to get themselves gigantic tvs this year. A friend of mine got up at the crack of dawn on Black Friday and practicly got malled by an older gentlemen while trying to get in line to get a samsung 40 inch LCD big screen tv. He didn't end up getting one and was very disapointed. I told him that that is the huge problem with Black Friday. They purposely order only a limited supply of the advertised item and figure while you are there you will purchase something else. I told him that there is a new search engine called Krillion that he can go onto and search for stores in his area that are currently (Currently as in up to date results daily) housing the tv he wants. This way he knows for sure that the store has the item he wants because they frequently update their search results.

Christmas Time Is Here

When I was adding some songs to my new music player on my Myspace, I found some songs that really kind of touch you and bring a tear. At least that is what they do to me. One of them is the Charlie Brown's Christmas song, "Christmas time is here". Another major one has to be Judy Garland's version of "Have yourself a merry little christmas". She has such an amazing voice. I really want to make a point to see that movie that that song is from.

Myspace

Working on updating some stuff on the old myspace today. Adding some Christmas graphics and music and what not. It's funny, this has nothing to do with Christmas but I found a rotating animated Pee Wee head LOL it's pretty awesome. It's not Christmassy but i'm gonna put it up there anyway. Pee Wee rocks. Can't wait until the bring the new Pee Wee movie to the big screen.

Black Friday

It's that scary time of year again. Thanksgiving and then tomorrow is..dun dun dun. BLACK FRIDAY! AHHHHHHHH!! You know what that means. People getting up at the crack of dawn and driving miles to get to the stores. Waiting in looooong lines outside the store before it even opens and then being pushed and shoved around by people who want to get in before you. Everyone is wanting that same item that is drasticly reduced in price to bring in customers. Then they only order a certain amount of that particular item and figure if the disapointed people don't buy THAT item, they will buy something else while they are there. It's really kind of sad and frustrating. That is why I enjoy purchasing items online. Alot of people are doing that these days. We decided to save the crescent rolls for another meal. Darn those crescent rolls. Ham

Ham, Ham, I love Ham. I'm absolutely positively wild about Ham. I can't go around it, I gotta eat through it, beautiful fabulous super duper ham! Well, not really. I am more of a turkey person, but everyone around here likes Ham so that is what we end up having each year for Thanksgiving. It's not to bad, it's spiraly and has a sugary sweet glaze lol ahhhh

Thanksgiving

Well today is also Thanksgiving, forgot to say that in my WeightWatcher's post. Since I Did sooo well yesterday I am being really concious today of what I am eating. I am having roasted chicken, mashed potatos, green beans, cranberry sauce, stuffing and a reduced fat creasant roll. Then a little peice of pumpkin pie for dessert. If I HAVE to I will dip a teensy bit into my flex points but don't want to get to crazy as I said I did so well yesterday and it was very motivating for me.

So Proud

I'm so proud of myself. I finally managed to stay within my points for an entire day. That is not alot, and doesn't seem like alot to people that do the WeightWatcher's plan perfectly, but for me, who has struggled with starting over daily for the past four years this is huge. It's motivating me to stay within my points for another whole day, and when I make it through today, it will motivate me through tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day, and then when I weigh in next Wednesday, the loss I have will motivate me to keep going and keep going. It's a beautiful thing. I lost 54lbs with weightwatchers in 2002 but gained it all back plus some in 2004. Now I have 110 lbs to lose. It's a lot longer journey this time so It is taking all I have to stay focused. But stay focued, I beleive I can now. One Day At A Time.

Why?

Why is it so hard to stick to healthy eating? I know that dieting is wrong and that just simply cutting back and moving more is the way to go but for some reason it is so easy to get stressed out and head straight for those cookies or chips. I wish I had another vice like reading too much LOL or excercising to much. That would be awesome. Oh to have a food vice, how much does it suck? Way to much. Doesn't smell as bad as cigarette smoke but it still hurts your body in a negative way.

My sister wants to be a cosmetologist, so she is attending one of the localcosmetology schools in her area. Man, I'm sick of that song. My friend plays it over, and over again. Then makes me watch the video on youtube all the freakin time. "It rubs the lotion on it's skin...or else it gets the hose again....dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooo ooo". I could deffinatly live withought seeing the darn thing again hahahahahaha. Oh well. Such is life.

Slip n slide

Hmm our neighbor gave us a free slip n slide that they never used. It has a little blow up pool at the end of it. It is pretty cheap looking but hey, it's getting hot and it was free, so we are going to give it a try and not look a gift horse in the mouth. Know what I mean vern? ;) It should be interesting to see Travis and the little girl next door using it. I remember when we were little we barely made it down to the end of the thing. IF we ever made it.

House

I miss House. Since the new season started I've barely seen any episodes because it conflicted with The Biggest Loser time slot. I saw the very first episode of the season then part of one that was repeated on USA and then most of one last night. I wish I knew what was going on LOL

Biggest Loser

You know, I think they sent home the right person last night. While she wanted to be there, I think she wanted to be home even more. I think it's going to suck that Isabeau is going to get alot of flak from Jillian next episode for voting off Amy, i'm very sure that is what is going to happen. I guess sometimes it comes down to thinking with your heart instead of your brain. Almost discouraging that the two that got to go home for like one day didn't lose any weight. I mean it was one day, it didn't seem like they did much damage so I don't get it.

Cartoons are just weird these days. Really weird. Billy and Mandy, Spongebob, Drawn Together, etc. It's all just weird. I miss my cartoon saturdays from the 80s and 90s. Where did Cartoon Saturdays go to? They just don't exhist anymore man. Don't exhist at all.

Bike

Well we found the perfect bike for the little one today. One that actually has breaks. The other ones we looked at didn't have breaks. It was really weird..really weird. I dont know why they wouldn't put breaks on a kids bikes but alot of these bikes didn't have them. Very, very strange.

Hostel 2

Man. I didn't think that Hostel could get any grosser and more disturbing. Then they had to go and make hostel 2 and have my friend make me watch it. SO disgusting. SO disgusting. I can't even stand it. I think this one was much more disgusting and disturbing than the first one ever was. I really wish I hadn't have sat and watched the entire thing.

America's Got Talent

I happened to catch two episodes of this show. It is very interesting. Some of the acts were really, really out there but got great reviews. Others I thought were pretty good but got the big X. I will never understand how the judging of these shows work LOL There are some really funny old people that perform on this show.

Stephen King

Being from Maine, I love Stephen King books.One of my favorite Stephen King novels was "IT". I had never read it before but had seen the tv movie version millions of times over the years. I had heard that the book was really good as well and had some parts that the movie didn't get to include so I picked up the book. Like most of his books it was a pretty large book with a few hundred pages in it, but I read it fairly quickly and within about five days was done with it. He has written so many great ones like Carrie, Maximum Overdrive, The Stand, Pet Semetary, etc. Sometimes the books are better than the movies.


The latest story to make it to the bigscreen is the short story The Mist by Stephen King. Let me tell you I LOVED that story. I wasn't interested in reading it at first but my husband earged me to read it. It was a great story and the ending was creepy. I can't wait to go and see how it's portrayed on the big screen. Hopefully with no phony fake Maine accents. I can't remember where the story takes plus but I know that when they do ones of his that take place in Maine often times people have those fake Maine accents. Drives me nutty. I don't even HAVE an accent. You should pick up some of Stephen's short story books. You may find the mist.

Plastic Surgery

You know, i'm all for people changing their looks if it makes THEM feel better. Liposuction, boob jobs, nose jobs, tummy techs, face lifts, etc. However, sometimes enough is enough. Sometimes it seems as though people try so hard to not look older that they take it to the extreme and have face lift after face lift and just end up looking like an unnatural freak of nature.

It's hard to beleive that Blues Clues has been on since around 1996. Very strange because it's still on and now that I have a son he loves it. I think that besides Math the number one subject people seem to have problems with is reading. For some people reading is a very difficult and daunting task and they just can't grasp it. It's horrible because they miss out on all the fun things that reading has to offer like reading adventure books, comic books, etc. There is a center called Score! I'd have to say I was a pretty average student. As, Bs, Cs and the occasional D. Sometimes a child falls through the cracks and fails out of school when they really don't need to and they deserve a chance. At Score! Online Schooling

Studies have shown that over the past few years, the number of people that attend online universities has increased. I think that is probably because people's lives have gotten SO hectic and they just don't have the time to drive to a university where they have to sit without distraction for more than an hour at a time. Yo Gabba Gabba

Wow. This is a pretty trippy little show. It kind of reminds me of H R Puffinstuff or something. All the bright colors and the giant monster costumes and what not. It was weird to, because the episode I caught, Elijah Wood was on it. it was kind of weird, but at the same time kind of neat.

Heart Burn

I'm not quite sure what heart burn is, but I think I have it. I get it a little confused with what I thought was a hunger pain but maybe it's always been heart burn. It is kind of in between the top of the chest area and the throat area that I feel it. It sucks because it comes and goes. Gets worse when I drink something.

As alot of you know, Christmas is coming. I tend to do most of my shopping online. I enjoyonline shopping because it means no waiting in lines, no pushy people, no large crowds, no riding in a car to get there only to have them not have what you want, etc. It is so conveiniant. We're the doodlebops, we're the doodlebops, ohhhh yeah. Umm can't tell you the rest of the words but they certainly are strange creatures. Not quite human, not quite...alien? LOL at least they are a million times better than the BoohBahs and we still haven't figured out what BoohBahs are.

i can't beleive Christmas is on it's way already. I am making out my list of people to buy for right now and I have a ton of stuff on the list for my son already. Too much junk food

We have been eating waay to much junkfood the past few weeks. Thank god we went and bought some healthy food today. Tomorrow we are going to eat healthy and our tummies will feel so much better for it. I am so sick of frozen foods, especially tostinos pizza rolls. Yuck, yuck, yuck. Chicken and veggies. Yes Yes Yes. I need to drink so much water it isn't even funny.

Wow, we got a Papa Johns Sausage Pizza tonight. It was that new sizzling sausage one. Let me just say..it was sooo disgusting. Like two or three different kinds of sausage and loaded with green and red peppers, not to mention onions. It was so crunchy you can abrely taste the cheese. YUCK...if I am going to splurge on pizza, let it be pepperoni man, YUCKO on the sausage.
