More About Eating Clean

http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0KFY/is_11_21/ai_111506237

I think it is so important to eat clean most of the time, and then once a week have a nice little splurge. This once a week splurge actually helps our bodies become shocked into weightloss at times. We are being extremely healthy with our bodies six days a week, feeding it the fuel it needs to perform at top levels, working out hard, so that one day a week is a nice treat. A break from the grind if you will :)

Body For Life inspired Meal and Restaraunt Guide

If anyone is interested, I found a website that has a few booklets you can purchase about food recipes and what to eat at fast food places (such as Olive Garden, Taco Bell, applebees, etc) when doing The Body For Life Plan.

How important drinking water is.

Here is an except from an article on calories per hour's website about how important drinking water is to your health and weightloss.

There are many reasons why it is important to drink water, especially if you are dieting:
Initial weight loss is largely due to loss of water, and you need to drink an adequate amount of water in order to avoid dehydration.

The process of burning calories requires an adequate supply of water in order to function efficiently; dehydration slows down the fat-burning process.

Burning calories creates toxins (think of the exhaust coming out of your car), and water plays a vital role in flushing them out of your body.

Dehydration causes a reduction in blood volume; a reduction in blood volume causes a reduction in the supply of oxygen to your muscles; and a reduction in the supply of oxygen to your muscles can make you feel tired.

Water helps maintain muscle tone by assisting muscles in their ability to contract, and it lubricates your joints. Proper hydration can help reduce muscle and joint soreness when exercising.

A healthy (weight loss) diet includes a good amount of fiber. But while fiber is normally helpful to your digestive system, without adequate fluids it can cause constipation instead of helping to eliminate it.

Drinking water with a meal may make you feel full sooner and therefore satisfied eating less. Note, however, that drinking water alone may not have this effect. In order to feel satiated (not hungry), our bodies need bulk, calories and nutrients.

What is it about Hamburger Helper?

What is it abot Hamburger Helper that causes it to sit in your stomach like a giant ball of greese and fat, causing you to want to ralph? It's probably because it IS a big ball of greese and fat LOL

I made myself some of the cheeseburger maccaroni kind tonight it. UGH. Not again for awhile. Tomorrow I am starting the eat clean thing. I think my stomach will thank me for it. There will be less bloat and ralph feelings happening ;) I've actually read that some foods just make you LOOK bloated more than others. Swigg has a good section on her blog about what foods to eat if you want to avoid that bloated look and feel. Everyone should go check it out man.

The First Post

How appropriatly titled. Because it is, of course, the first post. ;)

So while I go over and over in my head what to do with myself, I always come back to the same conclusion. The Body For Life Plan. While I still am currently counting WeightWatcher's Points and attendting the meetings, I am finding that I must switch to eating healthier, more carb/protein balanced food to lose weight. So instead of counting points for lowfat chips and crackers, I will count them for things like stringcheese, fruit, cottagecheese, etc. I honestly think this is the only way for me to live, because when I eat alot of the processed junk it causes me to be starving ten minutes later and it isn't giving me energy or fueling my body in the least bit.

I will log my progress daily, and post recipes, helpful links, and there will also be the occasional sponsored post. Enjoy!
