Beauty Jobs

Alot of people I knew through highschool have graduated cosmetology school and gone on to work at the local hairdressing places. It's great to see them happy and enjoying their work and they do a great job cutting and styling hair. I myself have no talent whatsoever when it comes to styling hair or putting makeup on people, let alone myself. However, for those that do, and are looking for a great job opportunity in YOUR area, or in an area you may be wanting to move to, I suggest checking out a new beauty jobs seach engine website called Beauty Jobs. You can find salon and cosmetology openings all over the country.

Daily Eerie Story 6

I was reading this from a ghost stories website. It's really creepy but i'm not sure I beleive it. If it IS true, it's really creepy and if I was the chick I would have been a LITTLE bit more creeped out than she was and would not have been able to sleep after that message.

My name is Anna and about two years ago I came home from a party pretty late at night. I notice there is a message on my machine. I play it and it says "help me...help me..Anna?" in a quiet, and distant voice. I couldn't tell if it was familiar or not. It skeeved me out a bit..ok ALOT but I just deleted it. It was to late to call everyone I know to see who it was. The caller ID showed it as "Unknown". The call time was 9:50pm. There was another call right before that at 9:45pm but there was no message on the machine.

Later that night I was awoken by my phone ringing. I answer it and it's my sister. She is hysterical. My father had died around 9:30pm and she had called a short while later at around 9:40 she said but didn't want to tell me the news on my machine. I later found out that he clutched his heart as he died and called out for my help, though I wasn't there. Was the call I received from beyond the grave?...

Onlne Degree

The following post is based on information provided by blogitive. For more information, please visit blogitive.com

Being someone that can't make it to outside the house classes due to scheduling and children, etc, I really take online schooling seriously. When I first started out looking for places that offer online degree, I actually gave up, because there are so many online schools out there to sift through. I asked for advice and was told to forget about online schools and that most employeers would have never heard of the schools when you go to get a job and that your diploma would be worth nothing. Discouraged, I gave up. Then I was told about Capella University. They are a fully online university that was founded in 1993. They offer degree programs in business technology, education, psychology, public safety, etc. The best part is that they are an accredited university. This means that they are cerfitied to teach you and that your diploma is just as good as one you would get attending an outside of the home university. What more could you ask for? Take clases in your pjs if you want, it's great.

Daily Eerie Story 5

A friend told me that her cousin used to live in a haunted house in Savannah, Georgia. I myself have never seen the house or even been to Georgia but my friend doesn't tend to lie. I don't know her cousin so I can't say the same about her, but the story is interesting none the less.

My friend said that one night her 14 year old cousin was home alone with her little brother who was about 8 at the time. She said that her brother had gone to sleep hours ago and that she was up watching Real World on Mtv. All of a sudden she heard scuffling in the kitchen, and clanking of dishes. She figured it was her little brother trying to sneak some more peanut butter cookies that their mom had made and specifically ordered that he only eat two. Her cousin had the idea to walk up the stairs and say in a very loud voice Gee, I wonder if Jason is still fast asleep. I know he couldn't possible be eating any cookies.." figuring this would scare him into running back into his room. She slowly opened his door when she got to the top of the stairs and almost bit her tongue when she saw that he was fast asleep in his bed. She was pretty freaked at this point and slowly walked down the stairs. She mustered up the courage to walk into the kitchen. There was no one there. There was a fork on the floor, however. Then she heard knocking on the front door. She went to answer the door, and there was no one there. She was pretty much balling her eyes out at this point. Every half hour after that there was a knock on the door. Finally she just ignored it and didn't bother answering. When her parents came home she told them she never wanted to be left alone there again.

I guess one or two more things happened there like someone knocking on her window a few times and her closet door being opened when she knows it was closed before. It's kind of giving me the creeps just writing this and thinking about it.

Daily Eerie Story 4

I was just given a story by a woman named Candy who told me about how she used to work at a children's hospital. She said that though she loved the kids and taking care of them, the work was emotionally draining and when they lost a child, it was just to much to deal with and she eventually quit. She said that while she worked there, whenever she had the night shift, she always had the creepy feeling she was being watched. She said that she knows it sounds cliche', but you just know when you are being watched. Often times she and her coworkers would hear a little girl giggling in the hallway but no one was there. Not to mention there were no children's rooms on the floor she was working on. One night she swears that she was in the bathroom and heard the shuffling of feet and giggling coming from the end stall. The weirdest thing that happened was right before she quit. She said that she was working late at night and she was the only one walking the hallways. All of a sudden she saw a little boy peer his head around the corridor. She called to him but he didn't move or say a word. When she got close to him, he just disapeared. CREEPY!

Why so fascinated?

I think if I had to answer why I am so interested in the Paranormal, it would have to be because I am I guess what you would call Agnostic. I want to beleive in everything, but can't fully beleive in anything until I have experienced it or seen it for myself. If I were to see a ghost or experience something similar to that, I would feel less afraid about dying, and know that something DOES go on after death and that we are not just worm food. It's something I think about alot. A little to much probably.

Viva La Mexican Vacation

For those of you that are stuck in New England this time of year, your dreaming of the warm weather. While the rest of us are jealous that you have snow (Although none of us want the insane amount you have been getting) you are wishing you were in Florida, or on an All Inclusive Mexico luxury vacation. Have you ever heard of the Karisma hotels? My god they are fabulous. They are so luxurious. You can enjoy private beaches, personal butlers, lovey scenery, GOURMET food menus that would rival the iron chefs on the food network. Imagine lounging in a pool with a fool bar right next to the secluded white sandy beaches of the Mexican Riviera Maya. You really should treat yourself to a vacation like this. It comes along once in a life time. Beach beds with retractable curtains, snap to services, sunset margairtas, you really can't go wrong with this sort of relaxation and special treatment. Your the star at Karisma hotels.

Daily Eerie Story 3

The following story was taken from Vanessa from the WW Messageboards.

"I worked in a house built in the 1880's for several years and saw lots of things.

On occasion, I would see a little boy peeping around the newel post. Comes to find out the lady who owned the house had pictures and this kid was in one of those pictures.

Then there was the woman with the arms. You could only see her from just above the waist down, so from about the height of 3/4 length gloves, and of course her gown and all that.

Lastly there was a black kitty who hung out there. I could hear him squalling and would feel him bump against my leg on occasion. He also liked to claw the carpet outside the bathroom door in the mornings when I would go in there before others got to work.

I know if I'm crazy, others who worked there were too because they would also see the little boy and the kitty.

There was a ghost hunter person who came to investigate a few years back and she claimed to have found an orb. I don't know what I think about that. "

That is some pretty creepy stuff my friends. I often times wonder why I myself have never seen anything..or if maybe I have, and not realized it was Paranormal.

Interesting Meeting

It was an odd experience the first time I met my sister's boyfriend. He walked into the house, shook our hand, looked in a daze for a moment and said"oh, sorry, I was just noticing a black shadow go past". It was totally creepy but he appologized and said he was sensative to such things. He then went on to talk about some creepy things that happen in his house.

My sister was saying that when she first went over to his house, she noticed some porcelin dolls on a shelf. She looked away for a few moments and then looked back and they had moved. Then she said that he would creep her out by saying that he just saw someone walk past her LOL it's creepy but pretty interesting at the same time.

Capella

The following post is based on information provided by blogitive. For more information, please visit blogitive.com

Have you heard aboutcapella university? Founded in 1993 they are a FULLY accredited FULLY online university. With over 200,000 students from around the world they make it very conveiniant for those of us that can't seem to find that extra time to enroll in a local community college or a big university. Whether your a stay at home mom or dad or a parent who works full time or someone that is just trying to further your career and don't have the time to shower, get into normal clothes and head to a late late night class, Capella is great for you. They offer degree programs in many different areas such as education, business technology, psychology, public health, etc. You can earn these degrees in your spare time, in your pjs if you so wish it. The best part is that Capella is accredited. This means that even though it is an online school, your diploma is just as credible as the one you would have gotten if you had had time to go to an outside of the home university. Thank goodness for the internet. Sometimes technology makes things really great.

A Great Book

I have been reading another great book about Ghost Experiences. It's called "I never beleived in Ghosts until..." 100 Real-Life Encounters. It's a collection by the Editors of USA WEEKEND. It's really great, there are some pretty creepy stories in there from people who didn't give two thoughts about Ghosts until they experienced it for themselves.

Daily Eerie Story 2

I am just starting up but I got a few different posts from some WeightWatcher's messageboards people. This is the response I got when I asked if anyone had had any paranormal experiences.

ARAGORNSARGONATH -"I have been stabbed by a cold knife that wasn't there, seen beings on mutiple occasions, had a black three fingered hand grab my hand when there was no arm attached to the hand, and I have been hit on the head with something and then someone was choking me."

LSEIDMAN9 -"When I was incollege, I use to feel that my dad came into the room and would come to talk to me. I would swear he was there"

BELLYRUBZ-"My best friend lives in a haunted house. I have only experienced a feeling of being followed there, but she often is awakened by the feeling of someone sitting on her bed. She grew up in the house and has just learned to live with it. "

Daily Eerie Story 1

Well I just remembered a story that my mom told me. When she was in highschool, her parents moved into a house in Edgecom Maine. It held my Nana's beauty shop and had a nice deck and was two stories. My moms room was in the converted basement. One night, my mom woke up to go to the bathroom and found blood splattered all over her pillow. She quickly got up and looked in the mirror but there was none on her face anywhere or any other parts of her body. When she went to get back into bed she noticed blood splattered on her dresser drawyer, as if somene had taken a paint brush and let it drip, drip drip into small circles all along it. My mom said it was really creepy because there was no blood on her, her brother wasn't home at the time so he couldn't have played a trick and her younger sister was to young at the time to even contemplate playing a trick. To this day she still doesn't know what it was.

Daily Ghost Stories

I want to start a daiy ghost stories post. I have never had any experiences myself but am going to start trying to collect them from others and post them onto my blog. I think they should make for some really interesting reading.

Strike Gold

When I was younger I remember my grandpa having a fewgold coins he kept in a safe and private place. Everytime I visited he would let me look at them but we were not allowed to touch them. I always liked to imagine that my grandpa faught a pirate for them. However, I realize that is not true. Grandpa passed away at least ten years ago now, and I still think about those coins. I think they were passed down to another relative. I have considered investing myself in some gold coins, not just as a collectors peice but as an investment, Kind of a way to preserve wealth. Not that I am wealthy by any means but it would make me feel like it. I was reading up on the Monex Company and they seem like a reliable group of proffesionals that could give me investment advice when it comes to choosing a precious metal such as gold or silver. They would either keep it in a safe bank for me or ship it directly to my door. I think I prefer the directly to my doorstep method the best. Maybe someday I can show them to my grandkids.

Poltergeist

I love this movie. The first one, anyway. This movie doesn't really scare me. Although if I was watching it late at night, all alone in a house by myself I would probably be a bit freaked out. It's more sad to me, knowing that Heather O'Rourke died so young and that she was only able to get through the Poltergeist movies. The first one was great, the others were mediocre but she loved doing them. It's so sad because i'm sure she would have matured as a young actress and gone on to play adult roles and really get into her craft. Taken away so young. So sad. What really gets to me and makes me sad in the pits of my stomach is the "Carol Anne's Theme" at the end of the movie. There is just something about kids singing choir type music that can really give you the heeby geebies.

Lisa Williams

As far as mediums go, I have to say that I enjoy Lisa Williams the best so far. She just seems so much more (and I hate to say this as I used to love Sylvia Browne but lately it's been true.) sensative and caring then Sylvia Browne. Sylvia has a tendancy to roll her eyes and make her clients feel as though they are somewhat stupid for even asking her a question. Lisa is bubbly and spunky and I really feel like she genuinly cares for her clients even though she has just met them. I'd love to meet her one day. Seeing and experiencing is beleiving for me.

Torza Covers

Ho Ho Ho! The holidays are here and I am looking for great gift ideas. I found a few that are kind of unusual. I was thinking of getting my father some truck accessories. He recently over the past few months finally treated himself to a new truck. He even picked his favorite color. He had had the old truck for years and years. He isn't very materialistic and doesn't spend alot on himself so it was great having him do that for himself. I found this website called Buy Auto Accessories. They have a huge selection of accesories for his truck such as torza covers, pet barriers, tool boxes, under car light kids, tail light covers, bug sheilds, etc. It's great. They are having a great two day sale right now with free shipping. Just in time for Christmas.

Ghost Hunting

How many of you have ever read about a haunted place in your area and gone to check the place out? I have done it a few times, mainly at night but always chicken out. For example, my husband and I were in Joplin, Misery(lol as my father in law calls it)and I read about the Peace Street Cemetery and how there was a grave of a vicious murderer at the very back of the place. It is said that some people experience extreme feelings of nausia just walking by the area and others have felt a prescense follow them how. Also it is said that even though there is no known family members alive in relation to the murderer, someone always tends to his gravesite.

Well, we drove by there at night and I had my husband roll down my window so I could take a picture. It was soo dark, I was scared and really creeped out so I took the picture fast and told him to keep driving. It was kind of a bad place to be parked. Many people have been killed in accidents on that road as well. I went back the next day during the day and took a look at it and walked through the place. It was extremely overgrown and full of ticks i'm sure. After about ten minutes of looking i could not figure out where the graves started and ended so I gave up. Nothing showed up in the first picture I took, nor any of the daytime ones.

Another time my friends and I took pictures outside a supposently haunted building in my parents town but got nothing back in the pictures. However, we didn't stay long because there was a house acrossed the street and we didn't want them thinking we were breaking in or something.

Other than that the only other time I did anything like that was when my ex boyfriend, my sister and I drove down to Bucksport, Maine (I am from Maine)to check out the gravestone of Jonathan Buck. I beleive the story goes something like he allowed a woman he had an affair with supposently to be burned or hanged as a witch. She cursed him and an imprint of a foot, her foot supposently, is permanantly on his gravestone. They have replaced the stone once or twice and it still shows up. It's very creepy. However, I was very disapointed to find out that the graveyard itself is gated off so you cannot enter. So I had to try and take pictures of it through a fence. Not easy.

Orbs

I tell you what, it must take a pretty keen and knowledgable eye to be able to tell the difference between an orb and dust balls and mosquitos. I know that when I took the picture at the top of this page I was sure I had orbs until I thought logically about it and realized it had been raining an hour before and it could have been rain drops on the lense falling off the trees or one of the many millions of mosquitos that plague the Maine outdoors. I noticed on video that the mosquitos bare a great resemblence to orbs.

Roses For Sale

Are you planning a large event? Maybe a wedding or funeral and need tons of fresh flowers but can't afford to get them from your local flowershop? I know a place where you can get some gorguesswholesale roses, or customized wedding packages. The flowers are freshly cut from the flower farms and sent directly to your day, so you avoid the cost of the flower shop. The flower shops themselves order them from the flower farms who ship to the flower shops in cooler type boxes, causing the flower shops to charge you extra money because they had to pay to get them there. With Fifty Flowers they illiminate the flower shop step and just have the flowers shipped directly from the flower farms after they have been freshly cut and put into bundles in bulk. There are many fabulous flower packages to choose from and the prices are wholesale. You can't beat fresh flowers at wholesale!

Graveyard Rubbings

Did anyone else ever do these as a child? It's called Graveyard etching or rubbing. My mom used to take us up into the graveyard near our house with some crayons and white drawing paper and we would place the paper against the tombstone and rub the craying over it so that the persons name and the date of birth and death showed up on the paper. I guess you could consider that morbid, although as a kid I never did. The stones were very old back then and are in even worse shape now so I doubt you could even try to rub against them these days. That didn't quite sound right LOL

Aaron's Crossing

About a month ago I finished a book called "Aaron's Crossing". It was a really great book and I would love it to be a true story. It supposently is. It's about a woman who is walking through a graveyard and senses that there is a presense there. The spirit follows her home and she helps him to cross over. He crosses over and then returns to tell her the story of what happened before his death, and the story of the limbo he was in before she walked into the graveyard. It was a very interesting and sad book.

Las Vegas

Ah. Viva Las Vegas. My mother would LOVE to go to Vegas. She started out playing Bingo at the local town hall with a group of friends twice a week. This turned into going to Foxwoods Casino once a year with her friend and neighbor. However, her neighbor has been ill the past few years and she has not been able to go so neither has my mom. I think my moms ultimate trip would be to go to Las Vegas. She could gamble, take in the Las Vegas Shows, stay at one of the many awesome hotels, etc. I think it's one of those places that everyone has to go at least once. See the Elvis's, the magic acts, circus circus, Wayne Newton if he is around, etc. There is a website called Best Of Vegas that can help her plan her trip. They have all the best hard to find tickets for Vegas shows and places to book the hotels. Not just any hotels, the BEST hotels. Hence, the BEST of Vegas.

Never Seen A Ghost

I honestly think that maybe the reason I have never seen a ghost, is that the ghosts know that I would be scared shitless to see one LOL maybe they are trying to spare me the heart attack. You think?

Paranormal State

I think the show premeired last night. I caught some of it and was totally creeped out. This little boy had been seeing an apparation of a dead teenager. He said the teenager's name was Timmy. It turns out that there was a Timmy that had died in the area nearbye and when asked to point Timmy out in a class picture the little boy did not hesitate and immediatly planted his finger on Timmy. It was oober creepy. I wish I could remember what time it comes on. I tend to get interested in shows and then forget when they are on and miss them.

Orlando Vacations

If your like me, you can't afford to do the fun Disney vacation every year. Heck, it often times takes an entire year just to save up to go. We all envy those people that go every single year. I know that I do. However, the reality is is that I don't make enough to go yearly. So when I DO go, I want to do everything. Spend two and a half weeks there and hit up Disney, Universal, Sea World, MGM, etc. I need all the savings I can get to do this however. There is a great website called Orlando Fun Tickets that sells discounted theme park tickets. In addition to Disney and Seaworld Tickets, you an also get tickets to dinner shows and restaraunts and special concerts. They are a great resource for those of us who are not made of money but want to have fun like we are.

T.A.P.S

This is why I like T.A.P.S. Unlike other reality shows about paranormal activity, where practicly the second they step into a supposently haunted place something happens, T.A.P.S rarely finds conclusive enough evidence to clearly say that a place is really haunted. Because there is such skeptisism out there, they go to great troubles to figure out what non-paranormal things could be causing these problems. This means that when they have gone through all possible scenarios and still can't figure it out, it's pretty exciting that it might be something really paranormal.

Asylum Cams

Lately i've started becoming addicted to going to the Asylum Webcams again. The farm cam doesn't seem to be working at the moment. That one was my favorite. That creepy doll that would sit in the old rocking chair. We would swear that his arms would wave up and down or he would change positions. I try and not get to excited because with all the pixalation it is very hard to tell when something is really SOMETHING and not just pixals. I think way to many people on the message boards at the Asylum take pixals too seriously.

Better Care

I have known a few people who have suffered from dimensia, my own gradmother included. Placing a loved one innursing homescan be the hardest decision a child can ever make in regards to their parents or husbands and wifes can make in regards to their spouse. Dealing with dimentia can be hard on both the patient and their relatives. I remember how hard it was for my father to deal with my grandmother thinking that he was his older brother, and her always asking where her mother was, or her husband. It was a very difficult time. If your in the UK area, there is a great website called bettercaring.com. They have great articles and message boards that deal with how to cope with a loved ones illness, what treatments are best for what, the cost of living, etc. You can also do a search on their search engine for the best rated nursing homes in your area. They also have information on in home care nurses as well. It's a great resource for those having to deal with this type of situation.

Paranormal

So I am really considering redoing my blog into a paranormal website. I LOVE the paranormal. Though I am no expert on the subject, i'd like to post links and articles and photos and other topics. I think it would really open up this blog. So look for me to be dropping this current title soon and renaming my blog to something Paranormal :)

Orlando Vacations

Now that it's that wintery and snowy time of year up in Maine, many folks are heading south to Florida until the summer time begins again. They normally rent themselves a vacation home for the winter, or have a trailor in an upscale trailor area. There is a great option for them if they want to try something new however, and that is Orlando Holiday Villas. If you go to thinkflorida.co.uk, you can see that you can rent a villa in orlando, and enjoy a luxurious vacation with the comforts of home. Each villa has a living room, dining room, bedrooms and a full kitchen. This means you can cook your own food, instead of staying in hotels and spending all kinds of money on room service. It's a great idea. Many villas are right on the beach. There are many things to do in the area, especially the big theme parks like Universal, Sea World and Disney. So whether your wanting to stay for two weeks or two months, a villa is better than a hotel.

Pizza

You know, of all the things that they show on tv that are annoying, pizza commercials have to be the worst. I love, love LOVE pizza and it's so annoying to finally ward off a craving only to see a darn pizza commercial pop up. Stuff crust pizza, oven fresh pizza, free toppings, thick crust, thin crust, cheesy bread sticks, etc. It sucks lol. Why can't they just go away? Ahh well..damnit lol

December

I can't beleive how fast December is happening, I really can't. It's already the 10th, soon to be the 11th. Before I know it, it will be december the 24th and christmas eve. Hall out the holly, put up the tree before my spirit falls again. Seriously, it seems to come faster and faster every year. In reality, it comes the same time every year but for some reason each year we have less and less time to prepare for the event. Then all that build up and it's over in about half an hour.

Beta365

This is going to sound really strange, but my grandmother actually knows how to use the computer and get online to play online casino games. My own dad can't figure out how to turn the computer on, but my grandmother can get online and make her way around an online casino site! Crazyness. She was telling my dad about this website called Beta365 that she goes to where she can play online poker, slots, video poker, and win large amounts from the progressive jackpot. He just shakes his head as he has no clue what she is talking about. I checked out the site for myself and they look pretty neat. They even have a sports betting facility on the site. It's very secure and safe, so no scams to worry about. They even give you some coins to play with when you first sign up. There are over 80 games to take your pick from when you download the full version.

Water

I wish water tasted better. I mean I can get away with drinking my 8 glasses of water a day and then drink one or two caffeine free diet sodas(Yeah yeah I know, we've been over this. Diet soda is BAD.)and be good. But I would drink so much more water if it didn't taste just clear and bland. Or make me have to pee every five seconds. I'm still learning when to cut off my water at night. If I drink it within two hours of bedtime I am up going to the bathroom every five minutes for a few hours at night and it is sooo annoying.

Spanish Travelors

I have a few friends that are from Spain. They DO speak english but it is not their first language and they find it so much easier to communicate with people who speak their own language. Sometimes on websites and over the phone the language barrier can get quite annoying. They are trying to plan a trip over the internet and all the travel sites are in english. Thank goodness for them there is a new website out from hotels.com that is written strictly for those who speak Spanish. It is a great tool. The website is called espanol.hotels.com. Yay fordescuento en hoteles. Imagine if you spoke another language and though you understood english a little bit, it was so much easier for you to speak your native language. Then imagine that all travel websites are in english. It could make it really hard for you. Thank goodness the top hotel travel site on the internet has made it possible to break the barrier.

Diet Soda

Alot of us have finally realized that Diet Soda is just as bad for us, if not worse than regular soda is. It's funny how we think we are doing well getting a grilled chicken sandwhich, side salad with low-fat dressing and a large diet soda. Well we may be saving calories on the diet soda but were messing up our teeth from acidity and the soda works as a dieretic.

Jim Carrey

Not sure if I spelled his name right or not, but I am watching the end of some sort of serious movie role he did. I'm not sure what it's called. Most people tend to not like him in more serious movie roles but I really liked The Truman Show. I loved it. I may be the only person who does, but I do. I didn't care for Dumb and Dumber but I think I am the only one that didn't like it.

Car Radiators

If your sick and tired of going to car fix it places and having to pay insane prices for something that has to be special ordered and takes weeks to get to you, your in luck. I found a great website that sells Honda Radiators and other car radiators at great prices. Why are they greater than normal places? Because at Radiators.com, they get rid of the middle man. They work directly with you and send the products right to your door. At radiators.com they work with local warehouses in YOUR area. This means that there is always products in stock and they are normally shipped in 1-2 days directly to your door. They have years of expertise in all of your radiator needs.

Polariod Cameras

I went to this amusement park a few years back and had my picture taken with a gigantic snake around my neck. I got the picture back and I looked really skinny in it, even though I was about 215lbs. It's funny how a polaroid can sometimes take off some pounds. This isn't always the case but I would love to get a hold of that camera that was used there. I'd take tons of pictures of myself and be in denial about my weight and size LOL

Body FLex

I just read Aly's blog about that Body Flex/Shapely Secrets product thing and had to laugh. I had seen it advertised before but had NO clue what it actually was. It is kind of funny, it never dawned on me while I was watching the infomercial that there was no info on the actual excercise itself! LOL too funny. Anyway, I stole the video from Aly's blog and you just have to watch it, it's crazy. This is what the excercises really look like. Glad I didn't spend the money on this crazyness.

Gift Baskets

Now that we are into December, it's time to start planning out the Christmas list if you haven't already. If you have someone on your list that is especially hard to shop for, you should check into the greatholiday gift baskets at Gourmet Gift Baskets website. They have an excellent selection of baskets such as gourmet chocolates, gourmet cheeses and crackers, specialized theme baskets like Texas themed baskets, men and women specialized baskets, wine gift baskets, beer gift baskets, breakfast gift baskets, etc. There are some awesome deals on there, and you can't go wrong with a treat basket. Imagine if someone gave you a wine and cheese basket? I'd be in heaven!

Snoop

Snoop dog has a new show on E coming out called Snoop Doggs Father Hood. It looks really interesting. Despite the fact that it is "reality" and we all know how much reality tv tends to be edited and faked, I hope to get a somewhat realistic look into what his life is REALLY like. All we hear is about gansta shootings and drugs but then we see huge ass cribs on mtv cribs so it should be interesting to see.

Hark How The Bells

Hark How the bells sweet silver bells all seem to say throw cares away christmas is here bringing good cheer to young and old meek and the bold ding dong ding dong that is there song with joyful ring all caroling one seems to hear word of good cheer from everywhere filling the air ding dong ding dong that is there song with joyful ring all caroling dooooooooong. Ding dong ding DONG. BUM. I am truely in the christmas spirit now.

Cash Advance

Have you ever been in a position where you run out of cash before you get paid again? Sometimes emergencies pop up like car troubles or you are in dire need of groceries or gas money or it's someones birthday or Christmas. In cases like these, there is a great solution to the problem. Payday Advance Loans. If your in the Montana area, there is a website you can go to to apply for online payday advanceloans over the internet. It's called Check City. Get approved and have the money directly deposited into your checking account. Set up a date to pay them back and you are all set.

Andy Griffith

You know, Andy Griffith is a pretty interesting show. Even though I enjoy I love lucy, I always thought Andy was too country bumpkinish and old school to watch. I sat through an episode about Aunt B's birthday the other day. It was kind of sad. It's not to bad of a show but deffinatly, deffinatly country bumpkinish LOL
Look at how successful Ron Howard became thought. You can't get much better than that. It's sad that old Barney Fife is dead and gone though.

Fudge Bars

If your having a hardcore chocolate craving but don't want to waste the calories on a candy bar or know that one of those small individual dove chocolate peices will send you into a chocolate binge, you should try a no sugar added fudge bar. They are very, very few calories and it kind of tastes like frozen chocolate pudding on a stick. I can make myself limit it to one fudge bar alot easier than being able to limit myself to one peice of dove chocolate.

Bad Credit

It can be hard to findBad Credit Credit Cards. Sometimes when your young, living on your own in your first apartment, and you've been at your job for a few months, you start receiving these pre-approved credit card applications in your mailbox. You get so excited that withought even really reading the fine print about interest rates, you dive in head first and get the credit card. Then you max it out before you know it and spend the next few years trying to get out of debt. Trust me it takes just one holiday like Christmas to max out a card. Well there is hope. If your trying to reuild your credit, check out creditcardsearchengine.com. They can help anyone find a credit card, and give tips on which cards would be best for you. Even people with bad credit or no credit.

Emuffin Pizzas

God I love English Muffin Pizzas. They are so easy. You just buy some english muffins, canned pizza sauce, shredded cheese and whater toppings you want. Then you split the english muffins in half, spoon some sauce over the top, sprinkle with cheese, add toppings and bake at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes. YUMMY! Very low in points and not to bad for you either when you get a pizza craving. I prefer mushrooms, green peppers and one slice of pepperoni on each Emuffin half.

Points Calculator

Aly just added a WW points calculator java script to her blog, for those of you that are on WW and may not have your calculator or points slider handy. IT's a great tool to use and really neat to have on your blog. Go on over and check it out on the side bar at www.alycatsclaws.com.

Wedding Favors

When it comes to weddings, my wife and I agree that small and intimate is better than large and stressful. Large and stressful leads to things not going as planned(Murphy's Law), tears of frustration instead of joy, etc. So we prefer to plan things ourselves and help make them happen instead of expecting others to do it for us, just because WE are the ones getting married. One of the fun things about planning a wedding is picking up the gifts for the wedding party. At Wedding Shop's website you can findunique wedding favors and personalize them for your wedding party. You can also find stuff to place on tables like personalized napkins, glasses, cake toppers, etc.

Christmas Ornaments

Well, this year we are pretty lacking on actual ornaments on the Christmas Tree. We have lots of colored balls, but very few ornaments left thanks to my little three and a half year old. This year we are not even going to attempt to put on our two precious glass ornaments because we are afraid that he will accidentally knock them off and break them. *sigh* maybe when he gets a bit older down the road we will be safe to do such things.

Christmas Specials

It's that time of year again. The family channel is doing their 25 days of Christmas. It's great. Rudolph, Santa Claus is coming to town, A Christmas Story, Christmas Vacation, Charlie Browns Christmas, etc all will be in. Heck you could turn to TNT on Christmas day and A Christmas Story will be showing FOREVER LOL Tis the season to lick flag poles and want read rider bb guns. Don't shoot yer eye out!!

Optics Planet

Are you on the nice list, or the naughty list this year? If your on the naughty list, hurry up and start being good! You have a few weeks left before Christmas. You can turn it around! Everyone wants to be on the nice list this year so that Santa will bring them somebinoculars from Optics Planet!
Imagine standing in the crisp snow late at night, gazing at the bright white stars with your new telescope. How nice would it be to be able to look at objects in the microscopic sense with your brand spanking new microscope from Optiocs Planet? Write Santa a letter and tell him about all the great deals. They have the best selection of Optic products on the net, 100% satisfaction guarenteed, and if he purchases something over $29.95, he doesn't even have to come down your chimney, he can have it shipped to your door for free!

Check Out AlyCat's New blog

Please check out Alycat's WeightWatchers Blog. She revamped the old site and brought it into some greatness! She decided that her old blog wasn't filled with enough quality content, and decided to use it as her weightloss journey journal and post tips and get tips from others on sticking with the WW plan. I think that was a great idea. Check her out.

Find a car in Texas

It's that time of year again. Christmas is in the air, and were all searching for that PERFECT Christmas gift. Heres a thought. How about a nice looking used car for that teenager who is tired of walking everywhere? Or perhaps the wife wants her own ride? Well, if your in the Texas area, you should check out the Quality Auto Website called Texas Quality. They can help you locate dealerships and locations of used cars. For example if you live in San Antonio, you can do a search and it will pop upUsed Cars San Antonio. They even have a section on the site where you can see how you credit measures up, and what your financial situation will be going into the deal. It's a great tool to use to get yourself a great new car.

Christmas

We put up the Christmas tree. We went and got a fake one that was pre-lit. It would have been neat to have a real one, but were afraid getting it this early that it would dry out before Christmas and start a fire. That would just be our luck. So we dug out the few ornaments we had left from last years tree(son broke quite a few) and put them high up on the tree so little one couldn't get them. Then we put some fake snow on the tree skirt and hung up lights on the wall and the stockings like they are stairs going downward. It's really cool looking.

Shrek

Shrek's Christmas Special is on tonight. It's only half an hour long so I think we may watch it. Then after that How The Grinch Stole Christmas is on. YAY! The animated chuck jones version. I LOVE that version. The big movie version was ok, but nothing beats an old Chuck Jones classic my dears.

Medical Supplies Online

Are you disabled and unable to go to the drug store often to get yourhome medical supplies? The perfect solution would be the Allegro Medical Website. Allegro has a large assortment of medical supplies you can order directly from the website and have sent to your door. There are items such as diabetic supplies, Polar Heart monitors, Blood pressure monitors, Carpal Tunnel computer gloves and much much more. You can even find maternity and baby care items. Not to mention a great selection of gifts such as large universal tv remote controls, alarm clocks, baby gifts, books etc. Currently you can save up to 68% on holiday gift items.

Points Calculator

Why is it that my darn points calculator hasn't come in the mail yet? I ordered it from ebay two and a half weeks ago. Let me tell you that it is very hard to calculate points without one. I do my best and I just am pretty much guessing from general knowledge of the program right now, but it would be better on my waist line to know for positive that something was really three or four points and not seven points. Sometimes something you think is low in points ends up being like 15 points so you just never know.

Done Well

I am really excited. I have done really, really well this week with staying on plan. I used my flex points but stayed within daily points otherwise and worked out almost everyday and drank tons and tons of water. I lost six pounds. Whoot! Six pounds dude. I am psyched. I plan on keeping up the good work. In a year and a half I could be at goal weight and be a skinny minnie. I can't wait! Gonna keep it, gonna keep it up this time.

Big Tvs!

You know, I know alot of people that are going to get themselves gigantic tvs this year. A friend of mine got up at the crack of dawn on Black Friday and practicly got malled by an older gentlemen while trying to get in line to get a samsung 40 inch LCD big screen tv. He didn't end up getting one and was very disapointed. I told him that that is the huge problem with Black Friday. They purposely order only a limited supply of the advertised item and figure while you are there you will purchase something else. I told him that there is a new search engine called Krillion that he can go onto and search for stores in his area that are currently (Currently as in up to date results daily) housing the tv he wants. This way he knows for sure that the store has the item he wants because they frequently update their search results.

Christmas Time Is Here

When I was adding some songs to my new music player on my Myspace, I found some songs that really kind of touch you and bring a tear. At least that is what they do to me. One of them is the Charlie Brown's Christmas song, "Christmas time is here". Another major one has to be Judy Garland's version of "Have yourself a merry little christmas". She has such an amazing voice. I really want to make a point to see that movie that that song is from.

Myspace

Working on updating some stuff on the old myspace today. Adding some Christmas graphics and music and what not. It's funny, this has nothing to do with Christmas but I found a rotating animated Pee Wee head LOL it's pretty awesome. It's not Christmassy but i'm gonna put it up there anyway. Pee Wee rocks. Can't wait until the bring the new Pee Wee movie to the big screen.

Black Friday

It's that scary time of year again. Thanksgiving and then tomorrow is..dun dun dun. BLACK FRIDAY! AHHHHHHHH!! You know what that means. People getting up at the crack of dawn and driving miles to get to the stores. Waiting in looooong lines outside the store before it even opens and then being pushed and shoved around by people who want to get in before you. Everyone is wanting that same item that is drasticly reduced in price to bring in customers. Then they only order a certain amount of that particular item and figure if the disapointed people don't buy THAT item, they will buy something else while they are there. It's really kind of sad and frustrating. That is why I enjoy purchasing items online. Alot of people are doing that these days. It's just so much easier to sit at your computer, click on the item you want, add it to your shopping cart and pay with paypal or your credit card and have it shipped directly to your door.

If your one of those lovely people that give us the option of buying items online through your online stores, you are going to want to check out the shopping cart software from Ashop. They can help you add a shopping cart to your site that is equipped to accept paypal and other forms of payment. With this ecommerce software you can build and design your online store anyway that you like. I'm telling you, people LOVE being able to shop online. It's a lazy world and sometimes we just don't feel like driving, leaving the house or even getting dressed to shop. With this type of technology we can shop in our pjs.

Crescents

We decided to save the crescent rolls for another meal. Darn those crescent rolls. They are a holiday staple at tables but they are so small and probably about three points each so you could eat like six points worth of teeny tiny crescent rolls and not feel full. So we decided since we already have potato and stuffing at the table we don't really need another carb to be tempted by. Were gonna save them for a different meal.

Ham

Ham, Ham, I love Ham. I'm absolutely positively wild about Ham. I can't go around it, I gotta eat through it, beautiful fabulous super duper ham! Well, not really. I am more of a turkey person, but everyone around here likes Ham so that is what we end up having each year for Thanksgiving. It's not to bad, it's spiraly and has a sugary sweet glaze lol ahhhh

Online Casinos

If your like my mother, you love going to bingo. Or rather, "Beano" as they call it at the town hall she attends in Maine. She also loves going to Foxwoods in Conneticut and playing the slot machines and the big bingo games they have there. If your not familiar with Foxwoods, it's a gigantic hotel/casino. You can see it from miles away, the hotel is so high. She also enjoys playing slot machine cd-rom games on her computer and the free ones online. She has considered checking out some of the great pay casino online websites that there are out there, but doesn't want to be taken in by a scam or pick one that is shady. I told her about this website that I recently blogged about called Pro360. Pro360 is a website that reviews online casinos. It kind of has a ranking system in place for you to view.

The casinos are placed in order of best ranking to lowest ranking. You can see how other players and website editors have voted for the sites and view a complete summarry of each review if you wish. The sites are rated by max bonus, certificates, editor ratings and player ratings. Out of 100, the first two sites on the list were rated 100 in editor ratings and 95 and 81 in player ratings. Pro360 filters out all the best of the best for you from the thousands and thousands of online casinos out there.

Thanksgiving

Well today is also Thanksgiving, forgot to say that in my WeightWatcher's post. Since I Did sooo well yesterday I am being really concious today of what I am eating. I am having roasted chicken, mashed potatos, green beans, cranberry sauce, stuffing and a reduced fat creasant roll. Then a little peice of pumpkin pie for dessert. If I HAVE to I will dip a teensy bit into my flex points but don't want to get to crazy as I said I did so well yesterday and it was very motivating for me.

Blogging For Cash

Who would have thought that when blogs first became popular a few years back that one day we would be able to get paid to blog? Well now there are many sites that offer you that opporunity, as long as you have daily quality posts that you have written yourself and are not just writing strictly sponsored posts. This can be a great means of extra Christmas money, bill money, mad money, etc. It's hard to make a living strictly blogging, but you could use the money you make blogging as your savings for Christmas, bills, a vacation, college fund, etc. Some people make about 90 dollars a week. That is pretty darn impressive for blogging!

One of the great sites that offers you the chance to earn cash by blogging, is Smorty. With Smorty, you submit your blog url, and within 72 hours your blog may or may not be approved. If it is not approved, they will give you a detailed explanation why and give you tips on how to fix it. If your approved, you can begin accept offers that are placed in your account member section. The amount of money you get per offer depends on the pr and traffic popularity of your blog. My blog is currently a 1 so I get 6 dollars per offer. Others with higher blog pr get more per offer. It's great, the first day I got approved I got five six dollar offers. You must submit an offer before you can accept the next offer. My posts were approved within three days and I will get paid for them by the end of the week. It's great!

So Proud

I'm so proud of myself. I finally managed to stay within my points for an entire day. That is not alot, and doesn't seem like alot to people that do the WeightWatcher's plan perfectly, but for me, who has struggled with starting over daily for the past four years this is huge. It's motivating me to stay within my points for another whole day, and when I make it through today, it will motivate me through tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day, and then when I weigh in next Wednesday, the loss I have will motivate me to keep going and keep going. It's a beautiful thing. I lost 54lbs with weightwatchers in 2002 but gained it all back plus some in 2004. Now I have 110 lbs to lose. It's a lot longer journey this time so It is taking all I have to stay focused. But stay focued, I beleive I can now. One Day At A Time.

At Home Work

Do you work from home? I know that I myself do blogging on the side for extra cash, but wish I had a special talent like jewelery making or knitting so that I could sell my items online. Perhaps you already have started selling your items on your own site or sites such as ebay and other auction sites. If you DO have your own site, maybe your looking for a way to spice it up a bit. If that is the case, there is a great ecommerce software on the market. Ashop is a great resource, because with Ashop, you can design and build or re-build your website from the ground up. They offer a great shopping cart software that is CRUCIAL if you have your own online business site. Do you know why this is crucial? It's because millions of people shop online. It's so much easier than wasting the money to put high priced gas in your tank and driving to a store that probably doesn't even have what you want. When you shop online, you simply purchase the product, and then it's shipped directly to your door. When you have shopping cart software on your website, all anyone has to do is select the product they are interested in. Then they are taken to a secure check-out page where they input how they want to by. They have the option of credit cards or paypal. (Who doesn't have a paypal account these days?)Then they input their shipping information and it's all completed.

If you don't have this software already, you NEED to get it. Let's face it. These days no one wants to use the phone to make an order. They want to use ecommerce software. Virtual shopping carts are all the rage. Get your shopping cart software today.

Kira

You should go and check out my friend Kira's blog. She has just started out blogging and like me, could use some links to her site as well as just general readers. She lives in Maine like I used to so it's pretty chilly up there right now!

Dead Malls

I found this really cool new website called Dead Malls. It talks about and has pictures of hundreds of malls acrossed the US that are dyng or have since died. Check out the site for your Mall, right here.
I couldn't beleive it when I saw that the Auburn Mall in Maine was on there. I have only been to it a few times but have to agree, I always thought it was extremely small and outdated. Check out the Dead Mall's blog

Why?

Why is it so hard to stick to healthy eating? I know that dieting is wrong and that just simply cutting back and moving more is the way to go but for some reason it is so easy to get stressed out and head straight for those cookies or chips. I wish I had another vice like reading too much LOL or excercising to much. That would be awesome. Oh to have a food vice, how much does it suck? Way to much. Doesn't smell as bad as cigarette smoke but it still hurts your body in a negative way.

Cosmetology Schools

My sister wants to be a cosmetologist, so she is attending one of the localcosmetology schools in her area. If your in the Minneapolis area, you have the opportunity to attend one of the best cosmetology schools. It's called Regency. Regency is the fastest growing beauty school in the nation. There are now over 30 campuses acrossed 9 states. The atmosphere is that of a proffesional, high style salon. Part of the training process is that clients are offered discount haircuts, colorings, waxings, perms, etc that are done by the students with their teachers present. This gives a life experience to the school.

Rubs the lotion on..

Man, I'm sick of that song. My friend plays it over, and over again. Then makes me watch the video on youtube all the freakin time. "It rubs the lotion on it's skin...or else it gets the hose again....dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooo ooo". I could deffinatly live withought seeing the darn thing again hahahahahaha. Oh well. Such is life.

Slip n slide

Hmm our neighbor gave us a free slip n slide that they never used. It has a little blow up pool at the end of it. It is pretty cheap looking but hey, it's getting hot and it was free, so we are going to give it a try and not look a gift horse in the mouth. Know what I mean vern? ;) It should be interesting to see Travis and the little girl next door using it. I remember when we were little we barely made it down to the end of the thing. IF we ever made it.

Themed Gift Baskets

I've been making out my list and checking it twice. For the people that I can't seem to figure out what I want to buy them, i'm going to purchasethemed gift baskets. My father loves mixed nuts and chocolate, so what better gift than a themed gift basket from flowershop.com that has mixed nuts or chocolate covered nuts and berries? From luxury robes to flowers and gourmet food baskets there are a number of gift baskets to choose from. I personally like the gourmet food baskets. Chocolate covered ANYTHING sounds good to me right now, I don't know about you. The cost is decent as well.

Maine Blogger

Ever wonder what it's like up in Maine? There is a great blog out there called 33 is the new 23 about life in Maine, skiing, snow, sponsored posts, the mountain, etc. It's a great little blog.

Adventures in Hong Kong

Adventures in Hong Kong is a blog written by a pretty lady who is, as she says, trying to survive in the mother-HOOD lol. She's located in Hong Kong and she writes about happenings in her everday life, as well as sponsored posts and posts about excercise.

Lilaguide

If your a new parent, the job can be very, very overwhelming. You need new baby clothes, toys, places you can go that offer post natal excercises, if your pregnant you need maternity clothes, etc. There is a great new search engine called Lila Guide. Lila Guide is the best new form of parenting resources online. You can do a search for baby shops in your area and see what other parents have to say about the particular stores. You can look up services such as mommy playgroups, breastfeeding help, etc. There are over 120,000 reviews of different stores and services on the site by moms and dads like you.

Great New Blog

So I've found a new blog buddy. It's this funny gal who has a blog with a pretty funny name. I know EVERYTHING-just ask my hubby is a blog named by a woman who is searching for her identity outside the mother and wife role. She has some great reviews, tips on life, parenting and some random funnyness. Hit her up.

House

I miss House. Since the new season started I've barely seen any episodes because it conflicted with The Biggest Loser time slot. I saw the very first episode of the season then part of one that was repeated on USA and then most of one last night. I wish I knew what was going on LOL

Biggest Loser

You know, I think they sent home the right person last night. While she wanted to be there, I think she wanted to be home even more. I think it's going to suck that Isabeau is going to get alot of flak from Jillian next episode for voting off Amy, i'm very sure that is what is going to happen. I guess sometimes it comes down to thinking with your heart instead of your brain. Almost discouraging that the two that got to go home for like one day didn't lose any weight. I mean it was one day, it didn't seem like they did much damage so I don't get it.

Planning Weddings

If anyone of you have ever seen Bridezillas, or experienced someone else's wedding first hand, you know how much stress is involved in planning a wedding. It can turn people against each other and tempers can flare and something that is supposed to be so beautiful can turn into something un-enjoyable. That is why Wedding Planning should be left up to the proffesionals. Wedding Channel has been helping brides and grooms plan weddings since 1997. They have an online interactive site that helps you organize and plan out your big day and even helps you with a patented online registry. Visit weddingchannel.com.

Time to get serious

It's time to get serious about losing the weight. I have seriously let myself fall of the wagon. Not just fall off, it's as if I DOVE off head first into a pile of pizza, ice cream and potato chips. Time to get healthy. This is ridiculousness at it's finest. Er..worse rather. Time to get back into the habits.

Cartoons

Cartoons are just weird these days. Really weird. Billy and Mandy, Spongebob, Drawn Together, etc. It's all just weird. I miss my cartoon saturdays from the 80s and 90s. Where did Cartoon Saturdays go to? They just don't exhist anymore man. Don't exhist at all.

Riviera Maya Resort

TheRiviera Maya Resort is a resort that indulges all the senses. Beautiful white sandy beaches with ocean as far as the eye can see for the sight and gourmet and exotic food for the foodie in you to get your taste buds in the mood. From private butlers to hottubs, hammock swings and sunset margaritas. Riviera Maya Resort is truely a once in a lifetime oportunity to indulge yourself in privacy and decidant food. There are even swim-up suites offered. These type of suites let guests walk out of their room and into a winding artificial river connecting to a pool and swim-up bar.

Bike

Well we found the perfect bike for the little one today. One that actually has breaks. The other ones we looked at didn't have breaks. It was really weird..really weird. I dont know why they wouldn't put breaks on a kids bikes but alot of these bikes didn't have them. Very, very strange.

Hostel 2

Man. I didn't think that Hostel could get any grosser and more disturbing. Then they had to go and make hostel 2 and have my friend make me watch it. SO disgusting. SO disgusting. I can't even stand it. I think this one was much more disgusting and disturbing than the first one ever was. I really wish I hadn't have sat and watched the entire thing.

Credit Cards

Ah, credit cards. The best way to get credit but the easiest way to fall into some HUGE debt. It can be so hard for people getting their first credit cards to be responsible and not squander it all away. What people need to do, is do a little research before they dive in head first and take the first credit card offer they receive in the mail. When you do a little research with www.cardguide.co.uk you can find the best card that fits you. Whether your looking for a card to rebuild credit, build credit, comparecredit cards with cash back options, etc. It seems like nobody uses cash or writes checks anymore, credit cards are the IT thing. They can be a great investment, but do your research first. Remember to compare interest rates.

HOT

Did I mention it was hot?..I think I did earlier today. However, let me remind you that it is HOT here, and the AC is NOT working. Blah. And my son is hogging the fan and if I open the window he will try and push the screen out. I can't win I guess LOL

Some folks dream of the wondres they'll do, before their time on this planet is through some just don't have anything planned. They hide their hopes and their heads in the sand I don't say who is wrong who is right, but if by chance you are here for the night, then all I need is an hour or two, to tell the tale of a dreamer like you. We all dream alot. Some are lucky. Some are not. If you think it, want it dream it then its real. You are what you feel.

Short On Cash?

Are you short on Cash? Often times alot of us find ourselves either broke or extremely low on cash a few days before we get paid again. Sometimes an emergency arises where you may need more than 20 bucks but you don't have it. In this case, I personally think that it is wise to use No Fax Payday Loans. Pay Day Loans are great because you get your money the same day you apply and you set a date to pay them back as soon as you get paid again so it is like a short term loan. They can either hand you over the cash or directly deposit it into your account. You can get anywhere from $100 up to $1,500. For qoutes and application information, check out paydayloanqoutes.com. Remember to be responsible and pay the money back as soon as you said that you would.

shamu

So I wonder how many Shamus there have been. Obviously the first Shamu died many years back so I wonder how many they have named Shamu since then. It's really kind of a weird thing but I guess you could compare it to like Lassie or something. Lots of people will name a pet and then when it dies name the next pet after it.

Garage Floors

Have you ever thought about the looks ofgarage floors? I mean most of the time if people have cement or concrete garage floors they don't think there is anything they can do to clean up stains but hose them down with the hose. Hosing them down with the hose really doesn't get up the grease spots and other hard to get out stains. People figure they have to just accept the stains. However, if you go to carguygarage.com you will find that you can buy a number of cleaning solutions for your garage floor such as epoxy that is specially designed to take up stains on cement floors. Sometimes if there are really bad cracks it is easier to put a new floor made of tile over it.

Raining

It's raining it's pouring, I wish that I were snoring but Travis wont leeeeeeet meeeeeeee. Seriously, I hate it when it rains so much out here. It really makes you realize the lack of things to do when you cant make it to one of the beaches out here or don't have a vehicle to stay dry in. Ah, rain. Good for the grass, bad for the boredom I guess.

Dentemp OS

Let me tell you something. Before I finally got dental insurance a few years back, my front teeth were a mess. I had a calcium build up on my front tooth and it turned into decay and there was a round hole in the middle of my tooth and everyone always thought I had something in my teeth when in all reality, it was a small hole, not a speck of pepper or food. VERY Embarassing. Especially when people would ask to see if I got the pepper or food out to make sure for me and I would say no that's ok. They thought it was rather odd. Well anyway, I finally got insurance and had my front teeth fixed. Recently, however, I had a filling fall out on the side of one of my front teeth. It was embarassing to me, but no one has noticed yet. You know what would have remedied this situation? Dentemp OS.

Dentemp OS is 30-60 minute solution that works as a temporary filling replacement. Dentemp OS is FDA approved as a great temporary dental repair. It releives pain fast, it can be eaten on in 30 minutes and you just remove it from it's vial casing and it's ready to use instantly. It's clinicaly proven and it stays fresh with no mixing whatsoever.

Amy Winehouse

Ok, I know this is offtopic too, but I really think Amy Winehouse is pretty cool. I like the sound of her voice. It is very enjoyable. Perez Hilton seems to be dissing her one minute and kissing up to her the next. That's good old Perez for you. Now if he would just stop writing about Kirsten Dunst UGH. Anyway, here is a cool Amy video from youtube.

Alzheimers

It's that time of year again. Halloween is over and soon it will be Thanskgiving. After that comes Christmas. Christmas can be a challenge. It can be hard finding the perfectholiday giftfor that special someone you know who takes care of someone with Alzheimers. Whether it be a patient or a family member, it can be a tough task. Money can be tight or perhaps the person is hard to shop for. I found a great website called Alzheimer's Foundation of America eStore. You can buy items such as jewlery specially made for those that take care of Alzheimer patients for family members, training dvds, quilt t-shirts, pins, bears, etc. When you purchase these items all the proceeds go to the Alzheimer's Foundation Of America, so they go towards a very worthy cause.

While finding a cure to Alzheimer's is the ultimate goal, and something that every patient, family member and healthcare specializt wants, there is something very important that sometimes gets overlooked while money is being spent on finding the cure. Quality care for those that are currently suffering. It can be such a heartbreaking experience wathing a family member fading into Alzheimer's and it is so important to make sure that they are getting the best care possible until a cure is found.

If you think that someone you love is suffering from Alzheimer's, this website is a great one to start. They have the definition listed, which is :
Alzheimer's disease is a progressive, degenerative disorder that attacks the brain's nerve cells, or neurons, resulting in loss of memory, thinking and language skills, and behavioral changes.

The warning sings:
Memory loss, especially of recent events, names, placement of objects, and other new information
Confusion about time and place
Struggling to complete familiar actions, such as brushing teeth or getting dressed
Trouble finding the appropriate words, completing sentences, and following directions and conversations
Poor judgment when making decisions
Changes in mood and personality, such as increased suspicion, rapid and persistent mood swings, withdrawal, and disinterest in usual activities
Difficulty with complex mental assignments, such as balancing a checkbook or other tasks involving numbers .

For more information, or to make donations please visit the website at
http://www.alzfdn.org/. You may not be able to find a cure for them, but you can sure help make a difference by showing that you care. Whether it be making a donation or volunteering your time.

America's Got Talent

I happened to catch two episodes of this show. It is very interesting. Some of the acts were really, really out there but got great reviews. Others I thought were pretty good but got the big X. I will never understand how the judging of these shows work LOL There are some really funny old people that perform on this show.

Stephen King

Being from Maine, I love Stephen King books. One of my favorite Stephen King novels was "IT". I had never read it before but had seen the tv movie version millions of times over the years. I had heard that the book was really good as well and had some parts that the movie didn't get to include so I picked up the book. Like most of his books it was a pretty large book with a few hundred pages in it, but I read it fairly quickly and within about five days was done with it. He has written so many great ones like Carrie, Maximum Overdrive, The Stand, Pet Semetary, etc. Sometimes the books are better than the movies.

The latest story to make it to the bigscreen is the short story The Mist by Stephen King. Let me tell you I LOVED that story. I wasn't interested in reading it at first but my husband earged me to read it. It was a great story and the ending was creepy. I can't wait to go and see how it's portrayed on the big screen. Hopefully with no phony fake Maine accents. I can't remember where the story takes plus but I know that when they do ones of his that take place in Maine often times people have those fake Maine accents. Drives me nutty. I don't even HAVE an accent. You should pick up some of Stephen's short story books. You may find the mist.

Plastic Surgery

You know, i'm all for people changing their looks if it makes THEM feel better. Liposuction, boob jobs, nose jobs, tummy techs, face lifts, etc. However, sometimes enough is enough. Sometimes it seems as though people try so hard to not look older that they take it to the extreme and have face lift after face lift and just end up looking like an unnatural freak of nature.

Blues Clues

It's hard to beleive that Blues Clues has been on since around 1996. Very strange because it's still on and now that I have a son he loves it. It is very strange just for the fact that it was on when i was a sophmore in highschool and now it's on when I'm 27. I can't really explain it, it just makes me feel old and weird I guess LOL

Tutors In Reading

I think that besides Math the number one subject people seem to have problems with is reading. For some people reading is a very difficult and daunting task and they just can't grasp it. It's horrible because they miss out on all the fun things that reading has to offer like reading adventure books, comic books, etc. There is a center called Score! That is offered throughout the country. They offer Reading Tutors that can help your child improve their grades in english and maybe even love to learn. Give them the joy of reading.

Sweet Baby James

There is a young cowboy he lives on the range
His horse and his cattle are his only companions
He works in the saddle and he sleeps in the canyons
Waiting for Summer, his pastures to change
And as the moon rises he sits by his fire
Thinking about women and glasses of beer
And closing his eyes as the doggies retire
He sings out a song which is soft but it's clear
As if maybe someone could hear
Goodnight you moonlight ladies
Rock-a-bye sweet baby James
Deep greens and blues are the colors I choose
Won't you let me go down in my dreams
And rock-a-bye sweet baby James
Now the first of December was covered with snow
And so was the turnpike from Stockbridge to Boston
Lord, the Berkshires seemed dreamlike on account of that frosting
With ten miles behind me and ten thousand more to go
There's a song that they sing when they take to the highway
A song that they sing when they take to the sea
A song that they sing of their home in the sky
Maybe you can believe it if it helps you to sleep
But singing works just fine for me
Goodnight you moonlight ladies
Rock-a-bye sweet baby James
Deep greens and blues are the colors I choose
Won't you let me go down in my dreams
And rock-a-bye sweet baby James

School

I'd have to say I was a pretty average student. As, Bs, Cs and the occasional D. Sometimes a child falls through the cracks and fails out of school when they really don't need to and they deserve a chance. At Score! Centers nation wide they offer Innovative Tutors in Math, Reading, Science and many other school courses. Score centers have been proven to help children from ages 4-14 to greatly improve their grades in school. Sometimes you just need the right tutor to help your child. They may even start enjoying going to school once they find that they understand the material they are learning.

So true, So sad

Just yesterday morning they let me know you were gone
Susanne the plans they made put an end to you
I walked out this morning and I wrote down this song
I just can't remember who to send it to

I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I'd see you again

Won't you look down upon me, Jesus
You've got to help me make a stand
You've just got to see me through another day
My body's aching and my time is at hand
And I won't make it any other way

Oh, I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend [Fire And Rain lyrics on http://www.metrolyrics.com]
But I always thought that I'd see you again

Been walking my mind to an easy time my back turned towards the sun
Lord knows when the cold wind blows it'll turn your head around
Well, there's hours of time on the telephone line to talk about things
To come
Sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground

Oh, I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I'd see you, baby, one more time again, now

Thought I'd see you one more time again
There's just a few things coming my way this time around, now
Thought I'd see you, thought I'd see you fire and rain, now

Online Schooling

Studies have shown that over the past few years, the number of people that attend online universities has increased. I think that is probably because people's lives have gotten SO hectic and they just don't have the time to drive to a university where they have to sit without distraction for more than an hour at a time. These days with people having to work more hours to make more money and kids game practices after school and making dinner and helping with homework, after all that there is no time to get dressed and drive to a far away university and sit for a few hours and concentrate. With an online university you can work at your own pace and if you have an interuption like a child needing you for something, you can step away from the computer for a few minutes and when you come back you won't have missed anything because it's YOU who is in charge of your own learning. The hardest part about taking classes online is finding a reputible university. There are so many online colleges these days and it's hard to tell who is accredited. There is a great one called capella university that is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission. This means that when you get your degree and you go for a job interview, they can see that you learned from a reliable source and not some shady online website that just was after your money. At Capella they offer a number of degree programs in bachelor and graduate options such as Psychology, business, public safety, education, etc. The university itself serves over 20,000 students world wide.

Yo Gabba Gabba

Wow. This is a pretty trippy little show. It kind of reminds me of H R Puffinstuff or something. All the bright colors and the giant monster costumes and what not. It was weird to, because the episode I caught, Elijah Wood was on it. it was kind of weird, but at the same time kind of neat.

Heart Burn

I'm not quite sure what heart burn is, but I think I have it. I get it a little confused with what I thought was a hunger pain but maybe it's always been heart burn. It is kind of in between the top of the chest area and the throat area that I feel it. It sucks because it comes and goes. Gets worse when I drink something.

Online Shopping

As alot of you know, Christmas is coming. I tend to do most of my shopping online. I enjoyonline shopping because it means no waiting in lines, no pushy people, no large crowds, no riding in a car to get there only to have them not have what you want, etc. It is so conveiniant. You can now also get a number of great deals online by using coupons. There is a website called couponchei.com that lists all the popular merchants such as Target, BestBuy, Walmart, Toys R US, Dell, etc. All you do is click on the retailer or merchant that you want to see the deals for and it will take you directly to a page full of deals for them. Then you click on the deal and it will take you directly to the merchant's website where you can get the deal when you check out.

We're the doodlebops

We're the doodlebops, we're the doodlebops, ohhhh yeah. Umm can't tell you the rest of the words but they certainly are strange creatures. Not quite human, not quite...alien? LOL at least they are a million times better than the BoohBahs and we still haven't figured out what BoohBahs are.

Military and Police Gear

If your an MP or a police officer, your probably interested in websites where you can purchase your gear from. There is a great website called 511 Tactical Outdoors. They sell a huge inventory full of holsters, sunglasses, gear bags, jackets, tactical shorts, tactical footwear, etc with great brands likeGalco. You can get free shipping on orders over $50. Because they have such a large inventory, orders ship often times in 24 hours.

ANTM

Another episode of ANTM will be on tonight. God I hope they don't bring back Paloma. I can NOT stand that girl. She is so spoiled and pretty much a nutcase the way she turns her bitchyness around to make it seem like it is everyone else that is being bitchy.

If your considering having major surgery such as weight loss surgery, your going to want to do ALOT of research and talking to drs. Christmas

i can't beleive Christmas is on it's way already. I am making out my list of people to buy for right now and I have a ton of stuff on the list for my son already. Im trying to narrow it down to a few things he would really enjoy. It is hard because there is SO much stuff out there and not enough money, and no one needs a million things for christmas.

Credit Card Search

Are you looking for a new credit card? Or maybe trying to get your first one It can be tough to decide what cards to sign up for when you seem to get offer after offer in the mail. They tend to be generic offers though and not personally tailored to your needs. That is when it's time to do some research and log onto creditcardsearchengine.com where you canCompare Cash Back Credit Cards, compare reward cards, compare cards that build or rebuild credit, etc. You can see what card might work best for you. Whether you need to build or re-build credit or you want to compare interest rates on the cards, you can do it all on that website. Looks like another

Looks like another rainy day today. Blah. This sucks. It's another day of watching Handy Mandy and Higglytown heroes and all those kiddie shows. Oh well, you can't control the weather..but you can get mad at the weather man;) LOL Well maybe not...but you can wish you could.

Too much junk food

We have been eating waay to much junkfood the past few weeks. Thank god we went and bought some healthy food today. Tomorrow we are going to eat healthy and our tummies will feel so much better for it. I am so sick of frozen foods, especially tostinos pizza rolls. Yuck, yuck, yuck. Chicken and veggies. Yes Yes Yes. I need to drink so much water it isn't even funny.

Wow, we got a Papa Johns Sausage Pizza tonight. It was that new sizzling sausage one. Let me just say..it was sooo disgusting. Like two or three different kinds of sausage and loaded with green and red peppers, not to mention onions. It was so crunchy you can abrely taste the cheese. YUCK...if I am going to splurge on pizza, let it be pepperoni man, YUCKO on the sausage.

Bulk Candy

Well, it's that time of year again. Halloween, when the trick or treaters are coming around going door to door looking for that sweet treat your hiding in your candy bowls. Maybe you wish you could still trick or treat, and remember the candy you used to love as a child. Now there is a website you can purchase bulk candy at a cheap price. Buy all the retro candy you used to love as a child, as well as butterfingers, milky ways, kit kats, almond joys, etc. It's a huge online candy store and it's called esnacks.com. Yummo. Don't you love it. When you buy candy in bulk, it's also very cheap.

Eggs

I am getting kind of sick of eating eggs. I have to find some new protiens to eat. I wish they sold cottage cheese by the tubload LOL. Then I'd eat protein pancakes constantly heheeh. Or make some more protein dip and dip veggies in it. Oh well, until then I will just buy fifty million small containers of cottage cheese at a time. It looks yucky but when mixed with other stuff and used for cooking it is GREAT.

Garages

Garages. They are not just for holding cars. Alot of people put pool tables, couches, tvs, tables, etc into their garages and turn them into sort of a neighborhood entertainment garage. It's great. Perhaps you have always wanted to do this but always end up in a house that doesn't have a garage..or perhaps your garage is to small for your car AND an entertainment room. The solution to this problem, would be to get one of the many designs of Prefab Garages for sale on www.lidget.co.uk. Imagine, you could get a prefab garage to put your car in, in any style you want, such as the Winsor, Georgian and the Apex. Then you could use your other garage as the entertainment room. Fabulous! At Lidget they also shell prefab sheds and small buildings or workshops as well.

Water

I have to admit that I have been drinking way to much soda of late. The other day I kept drinking can after can of rootbeer and the more I drank, the dryer my mouth got. Made me realize that DUH, water is the best solution. Time to get back into the healthy habits again. HIGH time.

Florida Villas

If you are in the UK and planning on making a trip to Florida anytime soon, I have a great website that is chock full of information on planning your stay in a Florida Holiday Villa or a local hotel, plus lots of local tourist information. Geared specifically towards those in the UK, thinkflorida.com provides rental car services, online hotel booking, ticket service, and even villa and cottage home rentals. Imagine staying in Florida at your own private villa or condo on the beach, close to Disney World. You could feel like your staying in a hotel that feels like home. You wouldn't have to rely on room service and there would be so much more room to move around. Most villas and condos have full gourmet kitchens and fabulous artwork that you won't find in most hotels.

QVC

You know, I think QVC is a great trap LOL. If your sitting here, flipping through the channels late at night, what is always on? Either infomercials or the home shopping network and qvc. You end up sitting through an entire infomercial and wanting to buy the product, no matter what small use you may get out of it. It's kind of dangerous actually lol

Bacon

Ever notice how the first few peices of bacon taste awesome, and then you THINK you want to eat more..but then when you do, it starts to just get really greasy and nasty? Ugh. I noticed that recently. It just makes your stomach feel like a big grease ball, a hard big grease ball. Too much bacon is bad bad bad.

Dallas Cowboys

Are you looking for a great place to purchaseDallas Cowboys tickets? If you wait to long, the good seats are already gone, and the prices cost you an arm and a leg. Most of the time if you even GET tickets you end up sitting in the nose bleed seats. It wasn't worth the money, and the experience was not the exciting game experience that you had hoped for. Premium Seats USA solves the annoyance by providing you a huge selection of first-class tickets to all the best concerts and sports events and theatre events nationwide. Check them out.Don't wait until the last minute or go with a scalper.

Gazelle 2

Ok, so I saw the infomercial was on again last night and had to post a link that has tons of mixed reviews on the product itself. Check it out before you buy. I have gotten into the habit of reading all reviews before I purchase anything.

Hot

Man isn't it HOT out here. The air conditioner is broken and it has been very, very hot lately. Makes me nervous for when stuff like this happens out in Guam where it is mega, mega hot. Makes me wish there was a swimming pool INDOORS here in the house :) Well, we gotta do what we gotta do I guess. Or rather deal with what we gotta deal with.

South Beach Condo

Take the plunge into the blue waters of Miami Beach and get yourself a South Beach condo.

darn mouse

Nah, not the rodent type. My wireless computer mouse. It is driving me crazy. It won't let me click into and out of certain windows and it is making blogging and deleting and checking my e-mail near impossible. We can't afford a new one quite yet and it deffinatly is not the batteries.

Dartboard

So we dug out our electronic dartboard from deep inside the closet yesterday. It had never been opened before. We had fun tossing the darts at it. I got close to the middle on my first throw, but after that it all went down hill. Today I will probably do my cardio workout when my son takes his nap. Other than that, not much happening today. Our neighbors are moving and my son is going to be sad when the little girl leaves.

The World Series

Go Sox. Go Sox. Go Sox. So you can't wait for the world series, can you? Who will win this year? We still have a bit to go before we even get there, but one things for sure. You MUST start looking for tickets early for this event. They can get EXTREMELY expensive. And as we all know, more often than not that friend of a friend of a friend who "knows" someone important that can hook you up with tickets, doesn't come through for you. If you wait until the last minute, you still may get tickets, but you will be paying an arm and a leg for them, and they may not even be great seats. With ticketsnow.com, you can get great deals right NOW onworld series tickets. It's the safest and easiest way to purchase tickets to all the best events and venues. Don't wait to long. You want to see the Sox win again, right?

Awesomeness

This is totally cool. We just walked up to the mini-mart not to long ago and found out that the soda machine up there-get ready for this-pops out sodas for only a quarter! Yay! So when were thirsty and want something with flavor other than water, we can get some cheap cheap soda.

Snakes on a plane

Considering the fact that the movie itself looks stupid, and we had a snake in the house not to long ago, I STILL have no desire whatsoever to even attempt to sit down and watch this stupid movie. However, if it meant not having to watch Mickey Mouse 24/7, I may consider it.

Ways to releive Anxiety

If your like me, you get stressed out very easily, sending your anxiety level through the roof over the silliest things. Well there is kind of a neatanxiety relief product I found. It's called Kona Kava. Kava is a root that grows in Hawaii and has been known to reduce stress. It is a very potent root. Everyone is different and everyone requires a different amount of Kava to feel balanced. The products offered on the Kava Farm are instant kava drinks, vegan chocolate and even hoodia for weightloss. The way that most Hawaiins have been know to use Kava is to mix the powdered root in a large bowl with water to be enjoyed by a number of different guests. Kava can be mixed with fruit juices, vegetable juices or water. It has been said that the Kava root may even take away back pain and other ailments. Do you beleive? Try it for yourself. Visit www.konakavafarm.com

Speaking Of Spiders

There are lots of little ones in this house. Then since it has been raining so much I have been seeing alot of big fat toads outside, as well as a small centipede ontop of the side of the house. Yucko. They better just stay outside if they know what is good for them.

spiders

I have been seeing alot of spiders of late. In fact LOL I am not enjoying what the summer is starting to bring. Snakes, more mice, weather that is TOO hot, beatles, and big, big spiders. I've killed a few big fat ones the last few days. Where are they coming from? Do I want to KNOW?...blah

Orlando Fun

If you saw my earlier post, you saw me talking about how great it would be to take my son to Disneyworld, and all the great stuff there is to do in Orlando. So before you book through the hotel's website, check out orlandovacation.com where you can get up to 50% off what the hotels website would charge you. Give it a shot, you will be glad you did.

Phew!

So we got an awesome free weight bench today! We helped some friends move and they said that we could have their weight bench and Tony Little Gazelle if we wanted to. The weight bench is brand spankin new, they never even opened it. I was psyched. I tried it out tonight an hour ago and it was so nice to have it, as there were workouts I just could never do without it. Cheers to friends and neighbors! They rule!
